In the show, Bob Golic's character Mike Rogers would tell a short, 20 second story about an event that happened in his NFL career once in a while in the episodes. (Bob Golics fictional character he portrayed in that tv show, Mike Rogers, never played in the NFL. -am I wrong?-)
I am a fan of the NFL (I follow it closely) and I also enjoy watching this television show. So I find this all to be quite interesting.

In the episode "Dr. Kelly", the guys help Mike get ready to tryout with the 49ers again. I haven't seen the episode in years, but it's mentioned in the episode guide at tvtome.com
