Best writing on TV There's no mistaking that the four main characters and the aberrations that surround them are among the most memorable on TV, ever. But what I find most amazing and entertaining is how, in less than 30 minutes, the writers are unfailingly able to take 3, 4, 5, or more disparate plot elements and magically bring them together in one hilarious conclusion. Every line, every action has its place within each episode. I particularly like the India wedding episode, which we see in reverse chronological order. I must admit that I never watched the show in its original run, but now I savor every episode I see in syndication. Airing back-to-back in my area with Home Improvement, I'm in heaven.

Real Television Well for those who are outraged by the asinine sitcoms of the 70s, 80s and 90s which just seem to be getting worse, theres finally a gem in that mound of dirt and rubble. Seinfeld is perhaps the most inventive comedy in the history of television, for it depicts situations that are real (not just deluded perceptions of reality) and adds a unique blend of curiousity, emotion, and explosive humor. And unlike virtually every half hour show since All in the Family (a clumsy mess in my peerless view) it never employs left wing distorted opinions or meager social issues in place of intelligent ideas. Finally theres a comedy I can watch without having to be lectured by moronic hypocrites on the dangers of drug use, racism, violence, teen pregnancy, or being mean to people.
Not only does Seinfeld deliberately avoid preaching (they don't even include traditional "moral of the story" endings like in Leave it to Beaver, Father knows Best, or even The Honeymooners) they hilariously satire subjects that have always been forced by network/political pressure to be blandly one sided. Who could forget the episode where George and Jerry are mistakenly believed by a reporter to be gay, and then go on a crusade to prove theyre not, while simultaneously wondering if they may have latent homosexual tendencies. Or when Elaine nearly causes a riot at a restaurant because of her pro abortion convictions. And the episode where George compliments his associate on resembling Sugar Ray Leonard, only to have the man fire back by accusing him of racism, followed by George finding black friends to prove to him otherwise, was simply hysterical.
The use of sexual humor is truly unique as well. Rather than try to make a "dramatic comedy" (a nasty oxymoron) about the sexual plights of thirtysomethings, the show takes bedroom humor in a whole new direction. See the episode where George's mother "catches him" or where Elaine's saxophone playing boyfriend won't "do everything." Or where George goes swimming and is caught undressing by Jerry's gilfriend, who doesnt realize that cold water makes things shrink.
George is definitely the funniest and wackiest character on the show, followed by Jerry, the straight man, Kramer, the slapstick loony, and Elaine, whom many find amusing but I think is too annoying for the most part. Nearly everyone loves Seinfeld, but those who dont have probably just seen too many of the wrong episodes (Many of the earlier ones, particularly the lost in the garage episode, the Bobka episode, and of course the dreadful yet mysteriously overrated Chinese Restaurant episode.

Please come back! Everything's been said about my favorite show so I have nothing to add but does anyone believe that Seinfeld left an opening to return after they get out of jail? I hope so because my life hasn't been the same since they left. Thursday nights are drab and I can't get into any other comedy because of these guys.

What now? Something important is missing in my life: "Seinfeld." What am I and the rest of America going to do now? Such a show couldn't have possibly been done by human beings; it was too perfect. There surely must have been some divine intervention in producing such a top-quality sitcom. Every Thursday at 9 pm, the only thing on my mind was Jerry, George, Kramer, Elaine, Puddy, Newman... Wow. It's all over. I must say that "Seinfeld" has to be the most entertaining show in history, and I don't forsee one like that coming up for a really long time. I must give thanks to the creators and producers for blessing America with such a wonderful show. I even re-watch the re-runs! Oh my, what a show. I'm not crazy; I just miss the show so much. It truly was the best.

The best Seinfeld is by far the best tv show EVER made. The good thing about seinfeld is that it doesn't have any cheesy friendship endings or any lessons about how to be a good person. Unlike other shows which tell you not to be selfish, rude, obnoxious or mean, Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer are more or less selfish, obnoxious, rude etc. And the most underrated thing about Seinfeld is the acting. They're all excellent especially Michael Richards and Jason Alexander. The best thing ever on TV

The funniest series ... EVER! I have seen almost every episode of Seinfeld, and to tell you the truth, I've never seen a bad show. Every show was pure gold and I never stopped laughing. When it came to an end, it was kind of sad. Such a great show would fade away into TV history. At least I have reruns and taped episodes.

There was none better And neither will there be,this is absolutely the funniest show ever. Kramer is my favorite, just by entering the room he gets me laughing. I hope they make a Seinfeld movie,a movie about nothing. I get to watch this show sometimes 5 times a night if I am at home.

Long live Seinfeld I started watching this show two years ago when I was a sophomore in high school. I thought it was one of the funniest shows I have ever seen. It focuses on four main characters- Jerry (the stand-up comedian) George(Jerry's friend and agent for the NY Yankees) Elaine(Jerry's ex-girlfriend) and Kramer(Jerry's just plain weird neighbor). I really liked the episode where George, Jerry, and Elaine went to a piano recital for a woman whom George fell in love with. Jerry had a Tweety pez dispenser and put it on Elaine's lap. Elaine burst out laughing and the pianist wondered what was so funny. Later in the episode, she found out it was Elaine who laughed at her recital when Elaine had laughed about something at a meeting in Jerry's apartment room. "Seinfeld" is without a doubt one of the best shows to ever air in the history of television.
"Long Live Seinfeld!"

The best! 10/10 I'm not even sure why I'm writing this note. I suppose it's because I was shocked I only saw one comment in this page, and not thirty thousand, as I expected.
That's probably due to the fact that everybody--at least in the U.S.--knows this TV show. It's so immensely famous that it is hard to say anything about it at all.
On the other hand, for the sake of those who have never seen a Seinfeld episode, you missed (so far, I hope) the best TV comedy series of the millennium! Impossible to describe: after all, it's the "show about nothing"! It's humanity translated into laughter... It might take a while to get you geared into the show (but not if you live in New York), but then you'll never have enough of Jerry, George, Elaine, Kramer.
P.S. Jason Alexander is just sublime!

One of the most classic shows ever I watched 3 or 4 episodes of this show.
It is enough to tell that this is one of the best series of the world.
It´s very classic. It´s hilarious and it´s fun. And it´s about nothing. NOTHING! That´s what makes this show classic. There´s no point it the show. And it´s hilarious. All the characters are brilliant.
Well, there´s one point in the show. It´s about REAL LIFE. It´s about what happens in our lives. Those things that we doesn´t even care are transformed in laughter. That´s hard to do, and the writers are earning congratulations from me.
About the end of the show? Well... we will miss it, BUT, it was good it ended before it started to become bad. It finished, but it still lives in the world.
VIVA SEINFELD!

A religion. Seinfeld is simply the best damn sitcom of all time television history. It´s just so brilliant. Everyone has a unique (mental?) appearance. But with no doubt, I must say George Costanza (Jason Alexander), is my personal favourite. He is just so goddamn sick!!! To make an extremly long story short, Seinfeld is without a doubt a worthy follow-up to M*A*S*H (and that is not an easy thing to pull of I can asure ya´ll).
Seinfeld rules!

Thursday nights just aren't the same! We miss "Seinfeld"! Of course we have reruns but it's not the same. I loved when Kramer bathed in butter, and Newman kept seeing his face on a turkey! I would hope no one would REALLY want Jerry, Elaine, George, Kramer, Newman, etc. as friends in real life! But we'll never forget them.

The Best Television Show Ever Made!! 10/10 "Seinfeld" made television watchable again and it became a favorite for all time in my mind. "Seinfeld" is funny, sarcastic, smart and cool. The writing (some of it the best ever by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld). The acting is some of the best I've ever seen on television and that is what makes this show perfect. And even though it is now cancelled, it will live on forever. And the festivus for the rest of us will continue.

The second best sitcom of all time! Aside from THE DREW CAREY SHOW, this is the best sitcom on TV, beating out my other favorite, FRIENDS. SEINFELD is the most original sitcom ever, and I think that it has changed the way sitcoms are. This "show about nothing" has some of the funniest jokes and gags on TV, such at "The Contest" and "The Soup Nazi". Jerry, Elaine, Kramer and George are great, and the four actors together work wonderfully. I am sad that it's gone, but I'll be watching re-runs for a long long time.
