Cracks me up every time I tune into this show every once in a while and it gets me cracked up all the time The funniest would probably have to be Kramer. One time A girl was talking to George and he told her that he's engaged to another woman she smacked him. Then another time Kramer got a bus and made the J. Peterman reality bus tour and had to constantly make stops to find a trashcan. Then another time Jerry took a lie detector test because his friend had sexual intercourse with someone. On another episode Jerry had to find a drug for his girlfriend. All in all this show is soooo hilarious and it's way funnier than Friends & Will & Grace those shows suck and they are crappy. So instead of watching those programs just watch this one it will have you laughing all the way until the end!!!

The greatest sitcom in history! 10/10 Not one minute of any episode of "Seinfeld" is boring or unfunny. The writers and the actors are always spewing fast, clever dialogue that never loses its hilarious edge. From George Costanza's (Jason Alexander) constant whining to the utter hilarious way in which Cosmo Kramer (Michael Richards) enters Jerry's apartment, after watching one episode of "Seinfeld" you'll be addicted.
You'll cry every time a commercial shows up, 9.5/10.

Without a doubt, best sitcom of all time. 10/10 The only reason I'm writing this is because the current comment is a negative one. First off, that's the first person I've ever heard of that didn't like the show. Second, there is no question as to whether it is the funniest show of all time. There is just no debating that point. The slight mannerisms of Kramer combined with the calmness of Jerry always seemed to light a fire. George was possibly the funniest person on the show as he always seemed to be getting dumped on by someone or something. Elaine was good aspect to the show as well, but really came on with Mr. Pitt and J. Peterman. The side characters like Newman, Frank and Estelle, and Steinbrenner were some of the greats as well. All in all, perfect show for the perfect time.

The best has come and gone Oh come on now, hands down, this is extreme comedy and stands to the test of anything from Three's Company to The Cosby Show , Cheers, Family Ties....nope, nothing comes close to Seinfeld and after reading all the cheesy comments by other viewers standpoints I couldnt stop laughing at how awful their own dialogue of thought had wound up on this page, but if people do think were brainwashed into liking a smart, witty, clever, intelligent show than maybe that is our own plausible reasons, but I would think brainwashing is what governments and world leaders try to do rather than a sitcom. You know whats funny and you laugh , and Seinfeld had very funny moments indeed, like the time Jerry had to meet Elaine's dad and stood them up thirty minutes while she had her own horrific time with Kramer chasing birds in the middle of New York City or to the time George was soliciting videotapes only to find out he was bootlegging and went with the flow , I'll never forget him screaming in the car I'M A BOOTLEGGER BABY as if he was in a movie with surroundings of police cars and FBI agents trailing after him, I think sometimes we all exeggerate mildly or highly like that and the best medicine of a good laugh is when the most uncanny, wildly unimaginative thing you would possibly think happens(in our minds of course). Seinfeld was slapstick, sure it was and it wasnt interpeted to be real and convincing of this was how life was and to all the other comments I read, those are people that sit around and watch ALF and One day at a time....it has to be, any blind, autistic, deaf idiot could figure that out but to each their own....but no matter how much criticism Seinfeld will receive out of the misfortunate ones that never grasped onto the concept and humor of the show it remains and always will remain KING!!!

The most simple, yet most hilarious sitcom there is. This show is is just the epitemy of what sitcoms are: Situation-comedies. Seinfeld, however, has situations that could (and do!) happen to anyone. Every episode has multiple things happening and they always tie together at the end which makes it all fit.
I really liked how, eventually, Jerry and George wrote a script for a new show called "Jerry" (clever name). So, it was a show within a show! And the scenes in the script, "Jerry" were what had happened on Seinfeld! It was just re-iterating the fact that it was "the show about nothing." Just everyday events (like Jerry Seinfeld's stand-up) that can be looked at in a very funny way. It's not deep, but it isn't supposed to be. It's just plain funny.
Long live Seinfeld!

seinfeld has its moments Seinfeld is one of the unorthodox and funniest TV shows I've ever seen. One thing I can't believe is that it is number one of all time from TV Guide. But anyway, what's really great about Seinfeld is the characters. Kramer is my favorite of them all. He's weird and wacky and has novel things that come in his head. George reminds me of my father; he's small, stocky and whines too much. Anyway, the best episodes to see are the soup nazi and the bet.

I Absolutely Love It. This show was totally unique. Nothing has been done like it before, or since (with the possible exception of the Simpsons, which does mimic some of the "nothing" plots a little). While it was about nothing, it was really about everything--but the little things that no one thinks about, like giving your bank code to your fiancé. I also liked how this show was the last of the "non-fashion" shows.
You always saw Kramer wear the same ridiculous jacket, pants, and shirt. George always had those too-small plaid shirts and even Jerry had the black-and-gray striped shirt we saw him wear in the one where he and George make "The Pact". Even Elaine had many of the same clothes, even after her "make-over". I mean, I LOVE the show Friends but every time the guys have a new turtleneck or sweater, and the girls always have a new dress or a new pair of pants, which is totally unrealistic (for the guys anyway).
This show had consistent humour all the way up to the last season, which is unusual for many shows. I LOVED George styling his hair to look like the bald guy from NYPD Blue, Elaine buying the JuJubes on the way to the hospital, Uncle Leo yelling "STOP THE SHOW" on the PBS special--these were just some of the great moments! This show is the best on televison, and if you haven't seen it, go and watch now!

Simply the best 10/10 Seinfeld is the best show ever, I watch the reruns every night, it's a constant laugh, sometimes they do very simple or even stupid things, but they are so great that the stupid things become funny moments. My favorite is George, he's so GREAT, I just have to see the funny faces he does to start laughing. I love the show. Seinfeld rules!

Deserves title as "Best sitcom ever" 10/10
Seinfeld, simply put, is brilliant. What it has that other sitcoms don't is a NATURALLY FUNNY cast (especially Jerry Seinfeld), and NATURALLY FUNNY writers (much of the writing was done by Seinfeld). Not to mention that the creators (and executive producers) Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David (who is very funny, and wrote as well) made the sitcom for the sole purpose of making people laugh. They did this by bringing Jerry Seinfeld's hilarious observational humor to life. It was just a genuinely funny show, and didn't try to be anything more than that.
The reason this is the best sitcom EVER is because it was the only sitcom that was not made to make a lot of money - it was made as an outlet for very funny people to be VERY FUNNY! That was their only intention. The fact that Seinfeld became one of the most successful sitcoms ever, if not THE most successful, was a result of this.

The Show That Changed Television
Seinfeld, at it's best, was one of the most fresh, innovative, and brilliant television programs ever to air. From satirizing manners and customs to creating new catchphrases nearly every week, no show has come close to this (though many have tried). Jerry Seinfeld stars as himself, and fearlessly plays himself as a less-than-perfect man. Jason Alexander created an all-time classic character in George Costanza, a rage-filled loser that you cannot help but love. Julia Louis-Dreyfuss was sexy and sweet as city gal Elaine, and Michael Richards is truly a one-man show as Kramer. Every episode has ingenious inter-weaving plotlines and stories, and tons of genuine laughs. And who can forget the hilarious supporting characters of Newman, J. Peterman, George Steinbrenner, Mickey, Bania, and George & Jerry's parents! (Note: The closer you live to New York City, the more you will love the show.) Enjoy Seinfeld in repeats forever... I dare you not to laugh.

Hilarious and unique show that can't be compared to any other
"Seinfeld" is a damn good show. Not many shows are like it, which sets it apart. I'm kinda surprised how many people (millions and millions) really love this show, I never would've thought a show like this would gain such monumental mainstream attention. But I digress.
"Seinfeld" is about four friends who live in New York City and go about their everyday lives. However, for these great characters, real life is never boring. Everyone's always interacting with thousands of unique and hilarious side-characters in different ways, someone is always trying to screw someone else over, and Kramer is almost always trying to cheat the system.
My favorite character is George Costanza. He is my all-time favorite TV character. He's such a moron, yet such a conniving, unstable madman. He makes me laugh more than any other character.
All in all, if you haven't checked out Seinfeld yet, what the hell are you waiting for? Unless you're tied to a chair (in which case, I don't wanna know anymore), check out this show. I guarantee you'll have a good time too. 10/10

Best show ever
This is the funniest and most intelligent show ever. Jerry Seinfeld's kind of humor is unparalleled and all the other actors are great, especially Michael Richards and Jason Alexander. I'm still sorry it is over.

The last and greatest juggernaut of comedy.
I cannot, through any stretch of my imagination, grasp how anyone can't find the humor in this series. Perhaps they have succumb to a similar problem I have in writing this review. I find that I cannot accurately describe just why exactly this sitcom should be held so far above the others. It's Kramer's awkward movements and border-line insanity; it's Jerry and Elaine's never-rekindled romance; it's George's terrible luck and inadequacy issues; it's all of those and so much more. I do find, however, that the show can be described with one word: irreplaceable.
"Friends"? Have you ever noticed that in "Friends" commercials, not even they, the reigning kings and queens of sitcoms, dare tread on the title of "funniest show ever"? Just watch the next commercial you see, and you'll find "the funniest (running) show on television!" I don't know if I would call that perfectly accurate, but it proves my point. Seinfeld was groundbreaking, and it went to places that few comedies (or dramas, for that matter) have since gone, and nothing before nor since has in quite the same way equaled it.
I notice a reoccurring complaint of negative reviews on this site: the opening and occasional ending of Jerry Seinfeld doing standup. I admit, it isn't the funniest thing that I've ever heard, though he is by far the best "have you ever noticed" comedian, but give me a break! That is your complaint? At least some other reviewers go on about characters, and the implausible plotlines (not that I agree in the least with them), but just that reason alone? You obviously don't have the intelligence to grasp the humor of the series, content only with the easy-to-understand slapstick of today's comedy; but nonetheless, in your blatant stupidity, you cannot grasp why it ISN'T funny, either -- so you pick the standup.
Nice.
In any case, despite the negative reviews or even the positive, Seinfeld stands the test of time, and is the greatest sitcom ever made. Even TV Guide's compiled list of the "greatest television series' of all time," not at all exclusive to comedy (20/20, I believe, made the list), put Seinfeld right where it belongs: NUMBER ONE.
The last and greatest juggernaut of comedy, I know I'll be watching the untiring reruns that never seem to get old when I'm old and gray and long since committed to a retirement home.
And do you know what?
The intelligent viewers of humanity's next generation will be doing the same thing.

The Best of the Best
I've watched a lot of TV, and I can honestly say this is the best sitcom ever. I love shows like Mash, Sanford and Son, All In The Family, Cheers and The Simpsons, but Seinfeld is the best of the best.
No other sitcom ever created such complicated characters whose action where entirely abhorrent and self centered. This show took every action to be the opposite of everything else that was on TV at the time, it pushed all the boundaries. Seinfeld was a brilliant exercise in social commentary...

NBC's best show.
While many people say this show's episodes lost it's quality in the
last 2 seasons, I have to disagree. Although the show's peak was
around 94-95, every show was done very well, with impeccable
timing and tasteful jokes. I am sorry that this show is gone, but
virtually every station everywhere has re-runs of it, and everyone I
know still enjoys it today.
