Here's a guide if you're having trouble identifying from which season an episode is. I'll list a bunch of differences as the season's change.
Season 2 (How is it different than season 1) George becomes unemployed
Season 3 The block lettered Seinfeld logo is now the logo we know, yellow oval with blue lettering Jerry's couch has changed to green
Season 4 The logo has a static background
Season 5 Logo changes to gray and blue Elaine's hair is darker George has moved in with his parents
Season 6 Logo changes to bright green and blue Elaine's apartment is different George now works for the Yankees George lives in an apartment instead of with his parents Elaine now works for Mr. Pitt instead of Pendant
Season 7 The logo changes to green and orange The coffee shop has changed from brown to gray Elaine no longer has her wall of hair- it is now frizzed and styled The film used is brighter and clearer Elaine now works for Mr. Peterman instead of Mr. Pitt George is engaged
Season 8 Logo changes to racing flag colors Executive Producer is Jerry Seinfeld in place of Larry David George is single
Season 9 Logo changes to outerspace George no longer works for the Yankees
If you want to be able to decipher what eps are from what season, simply consult this list. I haven't listed all the tangible changes, feel free to add to the list.

most start at the beginning of the season. George becoming unemployed is hard to pinpoint, obviously
