On the final epeisode of season two 'The Deal' what does Jerry mean by "the other"? I know what "this" and "that" mean, but have no idea what "other" means. I really don't need a correct answer, just post what you think it means.

"The other" I would assume would be referring to a full fledged relationship-- going out on dates, being emotional, spending time with each other. At that point Jerry and Elaine are friends, "this," and are having sex, "that," but they are only good friends- not emotionally involved with each other. "The other" would be the relationship aspect of having someone else in their life.

Yeah, Elaine was upset about not getting "the other" which was a real relationship. So that episode was even more sentimental than I used to think

It's just a reference to the expression "this, that and the other", it doesn't mean anything specific.
For example:
"What have you been doing today?"
"Oh just this, that and the other"
