why didn't george stay with Victoria? -- the woman who got him the job with the Yankees, looked like they were getting on well. Also, anyone think it made a refreshing change for George in The Conversion when he went to all the trouble of getting into the Latvian Orthodox religion, just to be with his girl -- felt well, sorry for him at the end of that episode.

I guess you could say bad karma follows him throughout the series because he is a sick, disgusting human being.

Because continuity stopped being sucha big issue when that episode aired. Besides, the whole reason George is funny is because he goes through such horrible experiences. The show would be boring if he dated the same girl all the time, she wasn't interesting enough of a character.

However, I thought it would be really interesting if George got married to this horrible, horrible person. I even think if Susan hadn't died, and they ended up getting married, that wouldn't have had a negative effect on the show at all. Susan wasn't all that interesting, and sure their relationship itself was getting boring, but I always found that there could've been more to that whole situation. I'm still upset about the fact that they missed the whole wedding. At least have her die afterwards, possibly even on the day, or right before the event.
She could've died from perfume Kramer gave her as a wedding gift. And then the whole "giving back the wedding gifts" thing could be re-visited. Obviously George wouldn't have given them to charity...
