The Nintendo 64 was a very popular system during the 90's. It was released in 1996 and almost instantly became a smash hit. It had some very popular games, most of which were either part of a series, or the start of one. Some of these include Pokemon Stadium, 007 Goldeneye, Super Mario 64, Super Smash Brothers, and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
As a kid, one of my favorite games for the N64 was Pokemon Snap. It was an incredibly simple premise, and looking back wasn't that great of a game, but I didn't care at the time. I loved it.
I never owned the system, myself, but a lot of my friends did. For a system that came out in the 90's, it had pretty good graphics. It wasn't the best system ever, especially for a guy like me who likes sports games, but it was still a great system for it's time.

I got a N64 for my birthday one year, and since at that time my Genesis still belonged to my brother, it was the first console I ever owned. First game I got was Rush 2. Which I loved mostly for the sandbox level, or whatever it was called where you just drove around some limbo landscape with giant shapes. Anyways, not sure which ones I bought or just rented, but some of my favorites were Mortal Kombat 4, Pokemon Snap, Super Mario 64, Super Smash Bros, GoldenEye 007, Star Wars Episode I: Racer, and Rampage.
It was an incredible system. I was anti-Playstation, so I opted for an N64. It had three dimensional graphics, memory blocks, and some awesome controllers. There were a lot of fun games that I remember playing though, and that was the best part. I'm sure if I grew up with another system I would have fond memories of that. But when I had my N64 was when I started getting into video games, and had a lot of friends and family that would enjoy the games with me.
But as time went on, I started to get into Madden games, and they stopped making them for the N64, so I traded mine in and upgraded to a PSOne.

I got an N64 for my birthday, and with it the only game I've ever owned for the system, "Spider-Man" (which I love!). I got to rent a ton of games for the system though over time, like "Super Mario 64", the "Zelda" games, "Super Smash Bros." and so on. Thankfully, I've never played the "Superman" N64 game. I've gotten some more game systems since then when they were on sale, like PS2 and my current Xbox 360, but Nintendo 64 has always held a special place in my heart because it's just so much fun to play Nintendo games.

I love the N64. I didn't own when it was released in its prime, but most of my friends had one and I had such fond memories of playing it over at friends houses. We used to play loads of Mario Kart, WWF No Mercy, Goldeneye and Perfect Dark particularly. The Zelda games were also awesome for single-player experiences.
I eventually bought one cheap, second hand, some time after I had bought a Dreamcast (but before I got the Gamecube), as the games and system were too cheap to pass up on. I still love it to this day, although it's not my favorite console.
favorite games:
Zelda: OoT Zelda: MM Perfect Dark Goldeneye Super Mario 64 Mario Kart 64 Conker's Bad Fur Day Body Harvest Super Smash Bros Paper Mario Mario Party (series) Jet Force Gemini WWF No Mercy
And I bet I'm forgetting loads of gems.

I never really had or owned the N64 (my parents got me a Playstation, and I grew up on that), however, that didn't stop me from playing it. The reason was because my neighbor two houses up owned an N64. And he had the greats that we'd play all the time.
007 Goldeneye WWF No Mercy Turok Perfect Dark Mario Kart 64 Mario Party Series Super Smash Brothers
Though I always preferred the PSX over the N64, I still have an undeniable and unmatchable love and respect for the N64, and it will always be a staple and revolutionary console in the gaming industry.
Although, to be honest, I never liked the controller layout.

The Nintendo 64 is probably the greatest console ever made. If not, it's up there. The library of games was just huge for the time and when I finally had enough money from birthdays and Christmases past, I bought the console myself and it made me damn proud. For one, the layout and mechanics were simple like the NES and SNES. Snap your game into a top-feed thing, flick the power button and plug in your controller and memory expansion pack and you were set for life.
Some of the greatest games ever made came from that console. Goldeneye 64, Donkey Kong 64, even oddballs like F Zero X and Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. Few games ever disappointed and my childhood is just filled with hours of shooting random soldiers with my buddy James Bond, inviting friends over to play and then losing friends when ass-kickings were handed out. I loved that damn thing and no other console from my childhood has more nostalgia than my golden Nintendo 64. Yeah, mine was gold for some reason.
Shiny. It's an awesome, nostalgic console that I still play when I get the chance and while I may spend more time on the PS2 or PS3 these days, there's no denying the N64 was one of the greats and still relevant today. Oh, and I'm the exact opposite of apparently everybody. I love the N64 controller and consider it the best ever made. Really comfortable to use, a perfect fit and with excellent button placement. Sony took notice and look how awesome their controller is. Paved the way for future generations and maybe someday we'll see a similar controller. That'd be nice, anyways.

I remember the Nintendo 64. I grew up on a Sega Genesis and then a PSX, but I remember the Nintendo 64. Long before my family ever owned a video gaming system, we enjoyed playing the Nintendo 64 at our relatives every Thanksgiving. Most of the time would be spent playing some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, WWF No Mercy, Mario Kart, and the mario party games.
It was loads of fun, and I still flirt with the idea of buying a used N64 from a used-only gaming shop in Omaha every now and then.

I know I loved the N64. Sadly, if I recall right. I only had chances to play it at Wal-Mart. Or even at a relative's house. But the two games that have always truly stuck out to me. Was Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time. It wasn't until way later on when I was able to get my own N64.Recall playing a lot of Star Wars Speed Racing.

Aw, the N64 is still my all-time favorite console! Both for its amazing games, and because I love the N64 controller. My hands are small, and Xbox and Playstation games were always a bit frustrating to me because of the awkwardly large controllers, but the N64 controller was perfect.
Favorite games: Ocarina of Time Majora's Mask Donkey Kong 64 Goldeneye Mario Kart 64 Any Star Wars game I only played Super Mario 64 when we went to Blockbuster. Miss those days...

I actually still play my N64. The reasoning is that my Xbox is over at my girlfriend's house right now, because I have easy internet connect-ability, and there is more space and a couch to play on.
However, my N64 is here in my room right next to my bed. I love the friggen thing.
WINNING. My favorite part was the Pokemon games for this. I had Both Stadium games, Snap, and Puzzle League. Other games I owned included:
Super Smash Brothers Mario 64 Both Zelda games Star fox 64 Banjo Kazooie
And a couple others.
