So watching saved by the bell and listening to the tunes of the 90s music. It really got me thinking about the past and in the best way humanly possible. So say there was something like the Hyperbolic Time Chamber that really existed in the real world. You have the chance to be in there for twenty four hours in this day in time, but exactly one year of any year of your lifetime. You would not lower in age or anything like that, but you could travel back to any year that you have been alive. With no holograms or anything like that, it would be the real deal in the past. For me it would be between the years of 1996-2000.

My choice of year would be a toss up between 1997-1998.
The mid to late 1990s, were probably one of the best years in my lifetime. October 6, 1997 would mark my tenth birthday and I had no worries. Didn't give a damn about anything else, but the day that was then. Not putting this in any type of depression type of move, but it's amazing, how I finally realized, how fast life moves. My four year old nephew went to a Kindergarten thing and it was in an old Gymnasium, I played basketball in back in my elementary school days. The last time, I sat foot back in there was eleven - twelve years ago. But back to the subject! The whole time was a lot different than now in my mind. It's amazing how much has changed. From the popularity of cell phones, the advancement of video games and so much more.
Back in 1997-1998, I remember being obsessed with going to the skating rink every Saturday afternoon (had to watch my cartoons first), being at the race track every Sunday, playing SNES/N64 and watching WWF/Power Rangers. Maybe, it's just me but the 90s was really a fantastic decade (besides about half of the music, really crappy, but great for nostalgic reasons). Now a days if I were to go back to 1997-1998. Skating rink later in the day, bar, race track and WWF. As well as the cartoons and Power Rangers might stay in my book.

Yeah, strangely I would probably go back to '97 as well. To me it always seems like one of those benchmark years, and I remember many good things about that general time in my past. We'd just moved into the country, so I had a humongous room upstairs all by myself. So listening to the radio as I drifted off to sleep is a good memory. Aside from that, just generally good times. I think that was the year I started 3rd grade, and I loved that because every day we would have a "story time" where we actually got to write stories. That was immensely fun. One of my friends and I wrote one about a dead pool in the basement of the school. cool.gif
Anywho, that just seems like a good year. I wouldn't want to relive any year in the early 00's because they all sucked, especially after '01 because that's when junior high started, and I wouldn't relive that again if you all paid me $1,000,000. Maybe one of the years from '05-'07 I would be content with, though.

I would also most likely choose 1997. It just seemed like everything was going right around that time. Nebraska won the National Championship in college football, elementary school was easy, and our parents still owned the travel agency. I remember attending the 1997 National Championship game.
Really though, for some reason 1993-1997 sticks out to me. I wouldn't mind it being 1998 or 1999 either. I just don't remember too much from 1991 and 1992 since I was just born in 1991.

Wow people must really like '97, though I can't blame everyone else because I'd choose around that year too. But to be honest, mid to late 90's in general. I remember a lot like on certain days if I got a good report card or if my mom felt like it, my mom would let me play hookie and my mom and I would go out and grab some sort of Fast food and go to the lake and eat lunch by Ontario Lake. I also went to places like Funscape, Discovery Zone and other places during summer. I remember a lot from then. But as for choosing a specific year it would be 1997 though I don't like choosing a certain year in the 90's I think it's the year I remember the most.
