The Boyfriend is actually my second-favorite episode and The Opposite is my all-time favorite. In The Opposite, I thought Kramer's appearance on the show was very amusing, though not in intentional ways. I thought Regis saying "bonkos" all the time was amusing for some reason, not sure why. And Kramer saying "You kids stay in school!" was really strange and funny, even though the audience seemed perplexed by that icon_lol.gif . I can see why someone would find it like an attempt to get better numbers, but it didn't bother me because I was amused by the whole thing.
As for the evening out stuff, it may be a little bit too coincidental, but not enough to bother me at all. It's fun material, and I enjoyed Jerry not being bothered when the date broke up with him. Elaine's story was almost as good as George's. I have a weakness for themed episodes (like I said with The Revenge), because the stories all work pretty organically by themselves. There's just more layers of comedy there.
As for The Marine Biologist, I'd probably give that one an A-. It's one of those great episodes that unfortunately has a few noticeable imperfections. The Russian writer was irritating and a bit lame, but it does pay off a bit with Jerry saying "...you're a real pleasure" sarcastically. I also dislike how there was a completely unnecessary ending where a stand-up close would've been much better. It takes away from the big-laugh-in-the-end moment. One more thing: "Do you guys wanna have some fun?!" was one of those early moments of Kramer being too over the top and loud. Anyway, overall it's a hilarious episode.

The Note - B It's a pretty strong episode, but not much is all that memorable other than "it moved". This is one of those episodes that I completely forget about until it's on TV again. I don't have much to say here.

The Truth - B+ A decent episode. This is another one I completely forget about until I see it again.

The Dog - C- Well, about 3/4 of this one is lame. The dog owner is a lame character. This is another case of me wondering if the character is supposed to be funny just from being odd. Jerry and Elaine yelling at the dog - monotonous and frustrating. Kramer's girlfriend plot - the acting is over the top, unengaging, unmemorable. George and Elaine being awkward one-on-one really stretches continuity, but I think it's funny. All in all, this isn't offensively bad or anything, but it's a chore to watch.

The Library - A/A- Maybe I've seen this too many times; I don't enjoy watching this anymore so it's hard for me to grade this, but I know it's great. Anyway, Larry Charles was right about the wigs. They're hard not to notice. There's my complaint.

The Pen - A I think this episode is great until the party scene. Everything feels effortless, like petty old people dialogue just writes itself. I think "STELLA!" is lame (am I the only one?), and the Morty-and-Klompus fight is too silly for my tastes. But those are small complaints.

The Parking Garage - B+ There's lots of great material here, and this still gets better every time I see it. But there is still an air of frustration over this episode that makes it a bit unpleasant to watch.

The Cafe- B Its Jerry's pity over Babu and George and Elaine's "caper" which are the highlights, Kramer's jacket plot brings down this ep.
The face on Babu when Jerry thinks the shrimp is a little stringy, priceless.

The Nose Job- C not a v memorable ep but not a bad one either, a couple of v funny moments, George's reaction to Audreys operation, you just need a nose job line by Kramer, and Jerry begging Kramer to give him the number, still its doesn't quite come off though didn't like Jerry's girlfriend and his penis playing his brain at chess wasn't funny

The Stranded- B- starts off nicely but falls apart half way through, the party scenes dragged a bit and Kramer and Steve in Jerry's apt was v out of place and not that funny, still a solid enough ep, loved Jerry and George like a pair of high school kids at the end.

The Cafe - A/A- Another strong season 3 outing. This episode has the first applause for a Kramer appearance...not sure if that's a good thing or not.

The Tape - B Eh, it's a decent episode. There aren't any obvious weaknesses other than that the plots aren't very engaging (imo). It's getting difficult to review these episodes because nearly every episode has great dialogue, funny observations, etc. As Larry David said, it depends on how funny the idea is...this time, I'm only lukewarm about the plots.

Too many brilliantly funny scenes in the tape. IE the final scene where George confesses to Jerry his attraction to Elaine just as Kramer bursts in, then he tells Elaine against the pleas of Jerry. "George, dont. Don't" Another hilarious part of scene itself is the "abbot and costello routine" which eventually amounts to Jerry promising not to tell Elaine that George told him it was her voice on the tape. Of course Jerry's first words to Elaine are "IknowGeorgetoldme."
And the way he's staring at her in this scene, the way they all stare at her once they find out its her at the end of the episode is so hilarious.
Another hilarious scene is when George drives Elaine home. Such true dialogue and so funny. "Where are you going--you're leaveing, you're getting out." Then Elaine goes "I am up for ANYTHING" and George honks the horn. Hilarious. Then after she leaves the car he has to stick his head out the window! I was on the floor after seeing the look on his face.
And of course when George uses the bald cream, and keeps putting it on and taking it off. Funny Funny stuff on every trip to the bathroom. And of course when Elaine says it stinks, George nods towards Jerry....
And Kramer walking in with the camera on his shoulder and keeping it throughout the episode is quintessential Kramer. They could have done the same plot in season 9 and it would have worked perfectly for him. Perfect kramer Episode, where everyone else is having problems and he's just the wacky guy on the outisde wanting to film it all and document it, but he takes it all very seriously. If I had one episode to display who Kramer is, and what kind of guy he would be in real life, I would pick this episode. *Same with all the other cast members, for that matter.*
George in love with Elaine provides so many numerous hilarities that this episode stands out as the best "early" episode, and one of the best ever. Also, there are only two speaking parts aside from the gang in the entire episode, the refrigerator repairman and a little of Ping. Perhaps the fact that its just the four friends goofing around and playing jokes and being themselves makes this episode even better, as its probably the most "contained" episode out of all 180. So many good scenes with all four in the apartment just talking and being themselves, and all the scenes last for a long time. That makes it seem real, and it makes this episode great. Along with some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen from Seinfeld.
