I started thinking how you guys would grade each episode. Let's go chronologically, and use letter grades, not that 5/5 crap.

Are we each supposed to grade the same episode for the day? Or the next episode in line? I'll grade the same one, since it's been a while since I've seen the stake out (i'll have to watch that tonight).

I thought the Male Unbonding episode was the second. Anyway, if you miss a day just post it later along with the current episode.

All of these should be in production order.
I'd give Male Unbonding a C+.
Despite being in my bottom 10, the overall episode wasn't too bad, but it was the slowest of the season one episodes.

Here's my review, since this thread is actually "rate and review":
I watched the pilot and "Male Unbonding" side by side a couple days ago, and the pacing is actually much better in the latter. The pilot is incredibly tough to watch, there are a few times where 10 seconds go by with no dialogue. The waitress is very lame, just giving sitcommy one-liners, and George is doing his obvious Woody Allen. The fact that it was rewritten must've hurt the episode; there's no way Larry David would've written this incredible lameness:
George: You're a woman, right?
Waitress: What gave it away, George..
There are a few redeeming moments, like what you mentioned, "The Mets really blew it tonight!", and the greeting discussion at the airport.
"Male Unbonding" felt much more Seinfeldy. It really explored the topic of breaking up with a male friend more thoroughly and effectively than the pilot's "what does it mean when a woman stays at your apartment?" George already felt much more like George, and even Kramer was more like Kramer when he was talking about how there's already a cure for cancer. Elaine was great and was already in character in her first episode. The pacing still tried my patience, especially in the bank scene. Hmm...this might be more like a B- or so.

"The Stakeout" - B-
"The Robbery" - C+
"The Stock Tip" - C-
The first two had pretty good premises, but the slow pacing keep them from being that entertaining. "The Stock Tip" has a predictable plot and slow pacing, but it has some redeeming moments like the first appearance of cocky George.
I guess I was too hard on season 1 in that season-rating thread. My average is about a C.

Male Unbonding: C+
The Stakeout: F (i just can't watch this episode..the scene with Jerry at the bar with Elaine for the birthday party is just painfully unfunny)

F? ...for The Stakeout -- you're nuts! I'd say B or B- -- The Stake Out is when George's "Art Vandelay" persona started and carried through the entire series.

Plus, I love that dinner party scene. How could you not laugh at how Seinfeld is frustrated about being forced to talk to Elaine? Best and most important episode of season 1.

The Ex-Girlfriend - A - This gets my vote for most underrated episode ever. They take great looks at the concept of dating a friend's ex and the awkwardness when acquaintances stop bothering saying hello. Seinfeld has dealt with little things like this, but it's never been this detailed and milked for everything it has. And it all works. The pacing is much improved over any season 1 episode, and it feels like the writers really knew what they were doing for the first time. The only weakness to this episode is that the actors didn't seem completely comfortable yet.

The Pony Remark - A - Just hilarious the whole way through. I love dark episodes like this. One of my favorite quotes of all time is "these peas are bursting with country-fresh flavor!"
